Susan Streetman Nolen, age 73 of Dickson, TN died on October 31, 2023.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Sylvia Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at the Taylor Funeral Home on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Her place of rest will be in the Cumberland Furnace Cemetery.
For those desiring, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or to the Sylvia Baptist Church.
Susan was born and raised in Sylvia, TN. She loved the small-town life. Her hobbies included reading and crossword puzzles. She graduated from Austin Peay State University and taught elementary school for over thirty years, enjoying teaching kids. She was a longtime member of Sylvia Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to her husband lead the singing and touring with the Psalmsmen quartet. She enjoyed raising her children and grandchildren. She could be the life of the party and was a great storyteller. Of the three sisters, her brother believed her to be the weird one. She will be missed, but she leaves us with endless memories. Her love was unconditional.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Klyce Nolen Jr., her parents, James Robert Streetman and Hattie Hatcher Streetman, her daughter, Amy Nolen and brother Bobby Streetman.
Survivors include her son, Klyce “Bobo” Nolen (Kendra), her two sisters, Barbara Nolen and Nancy Murphy, grandchildren, Dravin Nolen, Lee Weaver, Manny Nolen, and Kaylee Nolen.
