Dakota Keith Burns, age 37 of White Bluff, TN died on November 1, 2023.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Dean Morgan officiating. His place of rest will be in the Rock Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday at the Taylor Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM. For those desiring, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Dickson County.
Dakota was born in Nashville, TN on July 13, 1986. He was an employee of Bridgestone, where he worked as a material handler. He loved the outdoors—whether he was working in the yard or doing landscaping or whether it was for recreational grilling with friends and family, he was happiest outdoors. Dakota loved horses and riding them. And through the various stages of his life, through happy times or during reflective times, he loved music! Other interests included buying, selling, trading, and hauling antiques (and junk!). Whatever he was doing he always took the time to talk with older people: not just to exchange pleasantries, but to listen to them and he was genuinely interested in their stories. Above all, Dakota loved his kids and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Burns; his children, Conrad and Lillie Cate; his parents, Mark and Debbie Burns; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy O. and Cyndee Williams; his aunt, Kay Davis; uncle, Dale Perry; brother-in-law, Seth Williams; several cousins and friends.
