James Clifton "Jaybyrd" Mangrum, Sr.

Funeral services will be Monday November 13, 2023 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Wilkerson officiating. Place of rest will be in the Parker-Fowlkes Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday November 12th from 4 to 8 PM and on Monday from 11 AM until time of service.
James Clifton “Jaybyrd” Mangrum, Sr. age 83 of Santa Fe, TN passed away Wednesday November 8, 2023. Born in Dickson, TN he was the son of the late William Paul and Ruby Demonbreun Mangrum and was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Mangrum. Jaybyrd worked as a logger and loved working with his mules. He attended New Hope Baptist Church. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. James McGinley and Staff at Heritage Medical Group, Dr. English with Vanderbilt Heart, Maury Regional Home Health Services and Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Tammy Mangrum of Santa Fe, TN; children, Jimmy (Felma) Mangrum of Hickman Co., TN, Kevin Mangrum of Fairview, TN, Amanda (David) Lamb of Hickman Co., TN, Andrea (Taylor) Pickett of Cornersville, TN; brothers, Benny (Lilly) Mangrum of Burns, TN, Lester (Ann) Mangrum of Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
