Mr. Brady Lee Edmondson Sr. (Jackson) was born on January 14, 1949 in Dickson, TN to Lillie Beatrice Edmondson (Gooden) and Hubert Thomas Jackson. He was raised by his loving grandparents, Earl and Cindy Edmondson. His everlasting love for the Lord and his family, and his dedication to his craft will long exceed the generations to come. Early in life, Brady was drawn to the Lord and confessed. Under the leadership of Pastor Dwight Haynes he was a dedicated member and Deacon of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Dickson, TN.
He attended Cedar Grove Elementary, and Hampton Jr. High School. He was one of the first Black students to enter Charlotte High School, and graduated in 1967. From there he devoted his time to many adventures. As a young man, he drove a truck until he decided to begin his lifelong craft in concrete. Being the owner and operator of Edmondson Concrete, Brady used his business ownership platform to help others. He devoted many years to being a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge in Charlotte, TN. Through Christ he was blessed enough to travel worldwide doing missionary work, sharing his craft and his love of the Lord with anyone who would accept it.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Lillie and Jesse Gooden; his ex-wife and mother of his children, Patricia Edmondson (Holt); his life partner, Leah Marie Pittman; and his brother, James Gooden. Brady and Patricia were blessed with four children, Brady Lee Edmondson Jr. of Dickson, TN, Corey Terrel Edmondson of Charlotte, TN, Shannon Antwon Edmondson of Dickson, TN, and Shayanna Patrice Edmondson of Dickson, TN. He spent many loving years with his life partner, Leah Marie Pittman, and they happily raised three children, Donovan Pittman of Dickson, TN, Dontrell Pittman, and Daneille Pittman of Dickson, TN. Brady is survived by his siblings, Linda Gayle Crawford Corlew of Akron, OH, Amanda Elizabeth Williams of Indianapolis, IN, Jessie Marie Gooden, Edward Gooden, and Robert Gooden of Akron, OH, Edward Jackson of GA, Tommie Jackson of Antioch, TN, and Delores Muthku of Antioch, TN; his two aunts and uncle, Geneva Riddick, Corrine Young, and Douglas Edmondson (Sandra) of Akron, OH; and his special friends, Donnell Ramey of Charlotte, TN, Milton Corlew of Cleveland, OH, and Mack Adams of Dickson, TN; devoted cousin, Dennis Edmondson; also surviving are 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
