Mr. Howard Henley "PeeWee" Vaughn age 77 of Dickson, passed away on November 14, 2023, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. He was born on January 19, 1946 in Robertson Co., TN to the late Tommy Theodore Vaughn and Sally Bigby Vaughn. He was a member of the New Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville and also attended Worley Furnace Missionary Baptist Church in Dickson. He proudly served his country for 8 years doing a tour in the United States Army and later in the Army National Guard.

He was employed as a concrete finisher for Concrete Structures in Charlotte, TN. He continued to enjoy his love of heights by building bridges with various companies over the years.  He ended his career with Jones Brothers after working on the Historical Natchez Trace Bridge and taking a bad fall. After that he was self employed and ran his own lawn care services.

Howard was one of 14 children and was always known as the jokester and adventurous one. He wasn't afraid to try anything and his love of anything mechanical, especially cars, continued throughout his life.  He was a "people" person and never met a stranger. He was the life of the crowd and always left a lasting impression.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings:  Junell Vaughn, Leolis Vaughn, Thomas Vaughn, Nicky (Skip) Vaughn, Virginia Richardson, Margaret Ann Adkisson, Lucille Dardompre, Odessa Darden and Alphonso Vaughn.

Survivors include his son Jeffery H Vaughn (Amanda) of Dickson; his daughters: Tanya Hughes of Madison and Gwendolyn Stewart (Aaron) of Charlotte; his brothers: Joe Vaughn of Charlotte and John Vaughn of Dickson; his sisters: Mary Elizabeth Vaughn of Dickson and Addie Vaughn-Waggoner of Dickson; his grandchildren: Jeffrey Deonta Johnson, Breonna Hughes, Denzel Vaughn, Shabray Jackson, Chantelle Plunkett, Whitley Vaughn, Aaron Stewart, Jevarious Stewart, and Honorary Granddaughter Brittany Moore; 13 great-grandchildren; Devoted Nephews: Raydale Vaughn and Richard Darden; Devoted Friends: Billy O Bell Jr. and Ann Bell; Devoted Caregiver Tawnya Jo Vaughn and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
