Funeral services will take place on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 12 noon in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Yates, Bro. Eddie Newsom, and Bro. Jim Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Petty-Myatt Cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place on Sunday, April 14, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Jerry Ray Stiltner, age 68 of Dickson, passed from this life on April 12, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 26, 1955, in Grundy, Virginia, to the late James Ralph and Stella Evelyn Thacker Stiltner. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army. He was also a truck driver in the coal mines and later when moving to Tennessee, became a farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Dean Stiltner; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bruce and Margaret Deel.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years: Theda Stiltner of Dickson; his sons: Jonathan Stiltner (Dana) of Houston, TX, Nathan Stiltner (Katie) of Dickson, Derek Stiltner (Stephanie) of Centerville; his siblings: Pete Stiltner (Joan) of Big Rock, VA, and Joyce Rice of Grundy, VA; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
