With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of their beloved Jane Ellen Sholty Snay, who departed this world peacefully on April 19th, 2024, at the grand age of 81 years.
Born on October 17th, 1942 in Peru, Indiana, Jane was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her life included many experiences, and she never shied away from an adventure. She touched the lives of all who knew her. May we find great comfort in many fantastic memories.
Throughout her life, Jane exemplified strength, resilience, and commitment to family. She faced challenges directly with courage, determination, and grit. Often on the serious side, she had a wonderful sense of humor that when seen was infectious.
She will be dearly missed by her three children and David Gibson (Kathy), Jim Gibson (Chris), and Mina Brock (Steven). As well as her grandchildren, Kennedy Bowman (Gunner), Nicky Gibson, Caroline Gibson, Annabell Gibson, Logan Gibson, Dillon Brock (Joshua) , Savanna Brock (Jordan); and her great-grandchild Briar as well as by her countless friends and relatives. Jane was preceded in death by her loving parents James Sholty and Florence Sholty (Bell), and her siblings James Shorty Jr. and Mary Pratt (Sholty).
Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
