Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 11AM from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Pastor Wes Sesler will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4PM until 8PM and on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Sanders Cemetery.

Geraldine Mai Franklin, age 96, of Waverly, TN, passed away on July 18, 2025. She was born on March 30, 1929, in Humphreys County, to the late Lee Allen Rice and Maudie Crowder Rice. She was married to Everett Franklin for 68 years until his passing in 2012. She was a baker for many years at the Log Cabin Restaurant. Everyone knew her to be a wonderful cook and could really “put on a feed”; she always had the best biscuits. She loved to have her family come over to eat and visit. She also loved gardening and canning vegetables.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Franklin and daughter-in-law, Patricia Franklin, brother, Garner Rice, and sister, Eunice Weatherspoon.
She is survived by her daughter, Faye Bush (Eddie), grandchildren, Jennifer Hooper (Paul), Brandon Franklin (Emily), Randall Bell (Tammy), Tammy Morton (Ernie), great-grandchildren, Tyler Stokes, Madison Caruthers, Brittany Bell, Bradley King, Remi Franklin, great great-grandchildren, Ryder Bell and Jackson Caruthers.
