Sherry was born October 6, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan. She was always a hard worker, whether at home or on a job. For many years she worked as a house painter. Sherry loved her family and her church family. She was a wonderful aunt, having provided many opportunities for her nieces and nephews. Her cats were loved like children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman Mitchell Gilmore and Margie Marie Vandygriffe Gilmore, and her brother, Lane Schmittou.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Gilbert “Gil” Spangle and his children; her siblings, Cindy Gilmore Parish, Roger “Bo” Schmittou (Betty), Janice Sass; sister-in-law, Ginny Schmittou; nieces and nephews, Mark Schmittou (Melinda), Bobby Schmittou, Tony Schmittou, Jason Parish (Crysta), Ashley Parish, Tina Simpson (Jerry), Jimmy Huff, Kelly Gegich (Mike), Kim Eberly, Robert Schmittou, and Paul Ehause. Also surviving are numerous great nieces and nephews.
