Funeral services will be held at 3PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Scott Duvall will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 4PM until 8PM and on Tuesday, from 1PM until time of service. Burial will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Velma Eileen Martin Tingler, age 85, of Nashville, TN, passed away on September 13, 2025.
Eileen was born in St. Marys, West Virginia, on December 1, 1939, to the late Milford Manford Marion Martin and Alice Cadegan Martin. She worked in bookkeeping and was married to Clairel Roy Tingler until his passing in 2019. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church and was always very active within the church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, doing crafts, canning vegetables and jelly, and a good cup of coffee. She was always famous for her baking and will be missed dearly by her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, David Tingler, her brother, Russell Martin, and her sisters, Allison Martin, and Pat Blackwell.
She is survived by her sons, Darrell Tingler (Sherry) of Winter Garden, FL, Milford Tingler (April) of Pleasant View, TN, her daughters, Ella Lassan (Steve) of Bon Aqua, TN, Shirley Krueger (Albert) of Nunnelly, TN, brothers, Ron Martin of New Cumberland, WV, Manford Martin of FL, Danny Martin of New Cumberland, WV, Gail Martin (Alison) of Weirton, WV, sister, Idella Grimes of New Cumberland, WV, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
