Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Welch officiating. Burial will follow in the Vanleer Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12 noon until the time of service.
Betty Geneva Hayes Norris, age 87 of Vanleer, TN, passed away on September 12, 2025, at Skyline Medical Center of Nashville. She was born in Dickson County on December 1, 1937, to the late Lee Hansley and Nannie Byde Hayes.
Mrs. Norris shared over 63 years of marriage with her husband, Kenneth Ray Norris. She worked as a beautician for many years. She was also a longtime member of the Stoney Point Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Beatrice Mackens and Kathleen Ellis.
Survivors include her husband: Kenneth R. Norris of Vanleer; her brother: Terry Wayne Hayes of Cumberland Furnace; her sister-in-law: Brenda Baggett (Edwin) of Tennessee Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.
