A funeral service will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. David Bragg officiating. A burial will follow in the Ivey Cemetery in Fairview. Visitation with the family will take place on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Baby Kainen Jax Nixon, aged only 12 days, passed into the arms of Jesus on September 22, 2025, at Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. He was born on September 10, 2025, to Joey Nixon and Kelsey Ethridge.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his brother: Ghillee; his grandparents: Danny and Vanessa Ethridge of Charlotte, and Joe and Earlean Brooks of Jacksonville, FL; his great-grandparents: Donnie and Patricia Ivey of Fairview, Josephine Nixon, and Ethel Brooks, both of Mississippi; as well as several aunts and uncles.
