 Randy Monroe Painter, age 61 of Dickson died Aug. 10, 2014.   A funeral service for Mr. Painter was held Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 at 2pm at the Jason Chapel Church of the Nazarene with Rev. James Spruill officiating.  Burial followed with Military Honors at the Lucas-Lee Cemetery.

Born Feb. 21, 1953 in Beckley, WV. Loving Christian, Husband, Father, and Grandfather, he was the quick wit and fun-loving center of almost any room he entered. He was a coal miner, heavy equipment operator, auto mechanic, and member of the D.A.V. Attended the Jason Chapel Church of the Nazarene. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and all his 8 siblings, extended family and friends. Strong in mind and spirit, Randy battled serious health concerns for many years, but today he is free and whole in the presence of the Lord. He was a disabled Veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era as a chaplain’s assistant, and was proud of his service and nation.  Randy enjoyed reading a football, NASCAR and was always admiring classic cars. He loved to design knives and walking canes. He was married for twenty-five years to Vicky Lee Painter, and they have resided in Dickson since 1992.  Preceded in death by Parents, Ernest Monroe Painter and Wanda Tess Bragg Painter; Sister, Sandra Kay Painter; First Wife, Debra Blevins Painter.

Survivors include, Wife, Vicky Lee Painter of Dickson; Daughter, Stacy Ann (Michael) Burnett of Richmond, VA; Brothers, Terry (Alma) Painter of Duncan, OK, Mark (Diane) Painter of Scottsville, KY; Sisters, Retta (James) Marsh of Hilton Head, SC, Gayla (Gary) Mack of Lexington, SC, Thressa (Donald) Toler of Loris, SC, Iris (Darrel) McKinney of Columbia, SC, Leea (Mark) Smith of Augusta, GA; Mother-in-law, Katie Lee of Dickson; Grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Deanna, Cailey, and Colin Burnett of Richmond, VA; many loved Nieces and Nephews, and grand Nieces and Nephews.
