Born 7-27-1944 and raised in Pontiac, MI Lois is the daughter of the late William John and Iva Ecloy McDonough DeWitt. She is survived by her husband Dale Johnson; her daughters, Debra Muroff and Tiffanie Lampley; grandchildren, Sierra Lampley, Jesse Lampley and Julia Kioussis; two great grandchildren, Elious and Marina; sister, Mary “Marty” DeWitt and her loving cousin, Danielle DeManche, as well as several other cousins  and numerous friends.

In July of 1974 Lois became a friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob. That relationship survived over forty years touching many lives right until her death. In 1977, Lois began sponsoring other women seeking to survive a sober life. Lois continued to give her time sponsoring women for the next 37 years. During that time Lois sponsored several women, all who either passed away sober or who remain today living a sober life. Lois worked for several years successfully as a Massage Therapist, until illness forced her to retire.

In 1986 Lois and Dale moved from Marquette, MI to Tennessee. They moved a few times around the Dickson area until 1999, when they purchased their dream location in Nunnelly. They found 10 beautiful acres to build and grow on. First, Lois & Dale designed and built the house. Then over the next 16 years they have built beautiful gardens and created a lovely home for Dale, Tiffanie, Sierra and Jesse. Over the years Lois demonstrated her great artistic gifts at both oil painting and designing and building miniature room boxes, creating several of both that were sold for as much as $300.00 as well as given as gifts. As of this date she only has three that remain in her home, and one at her cousin Danielle’s home.

Lois was cremated and there was a Memorial service Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 5 PM from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with a dinner immediately following the service.
