Mr. Dewey A. Waynick
Mr. Dewey A. Waynick, age 88, of Burns, TN, fell asleep in the Lord on August 19, 2016, at his home.
Visitation will be from 3-6 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2016, at Taylor Funeral Home in Dickson,214 N. Main St. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, August 22 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Miller officiating, with visitation from 12 to 1 p.m. for Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens, 9090 Hwy. 100, Nashville.
He was born in Jackson, TN, to Dewey A. Waynick Sr. and Louise Humphreys Waynick on January 9, 1928. Except for a brief time in Michigan as a child, he lived in Middle Tennessee, and there was no place he would rather be. He was retired from the Ford Glass Plant and was a member of First Baptist Church in Dickson, where he also served as a deacon. He served our country in the United States Navy at the end of WWII in 1945.
Mr. Waynick was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Dorothy Cude Waynick; and his grandson, Joshua Waynick.
He is survived by one son Jeff (Laura) Waynick of Mooresville, NC; and three daughters: Connie (James) Farmer of Piperton, TN; Julie (John) Eaton of Dickson, TN; and Lisa (Brian) Parnell of Thompson’s Station, TN. Also, he is survived by his brother, Bobby Waynick of Nunnelly, TN, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
