Born in Lyles, Tennessee, Tom was the son of the late Hubert Lawrence and Rosa Mai Cooper Litton. He received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and had been employed by several corporations dealing with air travel, aerospace, and space flight. Some of his more memorable work projects included the McDonnell-Douglas F-15 Fighter Jet and engineering on the International Space Station. He was married to Linda Welderman Litton and was a member and deacon of Oak Avenue Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Cooper Litton.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Litton, Dickson; his two daughters and their husbands Lisa Ann Forbush (Brian), Imperial, MO and Rachel Melinda Heineman (Brian), Lee’s Summit, MO; his sister, Rosa Avalee Ligon, Bon Aqua, TN; and three grandchildren, Autumn Carpenter, Steven Heineman, and Elijah Thomas Heineman; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
