Born in Richmond, Indiana, Bob was the son of the late Clarence Dave and Hattie McCown Dixon. He retired as an instructor for Nashville Auto Diesel College. He was married to the former Reatha Smith, who survives. Bob was retired from the United States Air Force as an E-6.
Survivors include his wife, Reatha Dixon, Dickson; step-children, Reatha Roach (Mark) and James Osborne (Michelle), all of Springfield, and Evelyn Perkins (James P. “J.P.”), Dickson; six grandchildren, Zachary Perkins (Cheyene), Caleb Perkins, Jeremy Roach (Misty), Ashley Hunter, Preston Osborne, and Bailey Osborne; 3 great-grandchildren, Elowyn Grace Perkins, Trevor Hunter, and Colten Hunter’ a brother, Clarence Dixon Jr., Indiana; other relatives and friends.
