Mrs. Leathers was born June 22, 1932 in Giles County, TN, the daughter of Lilly and Charles Inman. She is predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Harry Rowan Leathers, Jr.; her parents; and her sisters, Jean Morrison and Charlene Mitchell. She grew up in Chambersburg, PA where she graduated from Chambersburg High School and moved to Dickson upon her marriage to Mr. Leathers in 1955. Mrs. Leathers was a housewife and longtime member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include sons, Harry Rowan Leathers III (Myra) of Nashville and Al S. Leathers of San Francisco, CA; grandsons, Robert Alexander Leathers (Meredith) and Benjamin Fort Leathers, both of Nashville; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at ten o’clock in the morning with a funeral service following at eleven o’clock at Walnut Street Church of Christ, Dickson, TN, with Bro. Steve Baggett officiating. Graveside services and burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Dickson.
