A Funeral Mass for Winford Terry Fambrough, age 87 of Dickson, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from St. Christopher’s Church in Dickson. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Church Cemetery in McEwen. Visitation with the family will be on Monday, October 21st at Taylor Funeral Home from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 12:40 p.m. Mr. Fambrough died Thursday, October 17, 2024 at his home. For those desiring, memorials are suggested to St. Patrick’s School.
Born in Cheatham County, Terry was the son of the late Ben and Jewel Nicholson Fambrough. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Terry was married to Frances Nelldene Tarpy Fambrough, who preceded him in death in 2017. Terry retired as a lineman for Dickson Electric Service. He was a member of St. Christopher’s Church. His family was of the utmost importance to him, and he was an encourager to his children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whatever their interests or activities, Terry was there to cheer them on in their accomplishments! Their memory of him as their “Hero” will last throughout their lives. Besides his wife and parents, Terry was predeceased by eight of his siblings: Jerome Fambrough, Mark Fambrough, Sterling Fambrough, Bill Fambrough, Effie Jean Binkley, Faith Sargent, David Fambrough, and Louise Fambrough; and by a grandsons,Eric Fambrough and Lucas Fambrough.
He is survived by three sons, Alan Fambrough (Tonya) of Burns, Thomas Fambrough (Angie) of McEwen, and Anthony Fambrough of Dickson; three daughters, Sonya Fambrough of McEwen, Amy Milby and Jennifer Jordan (Keith), both of Dickson; a brother, Ben Fambrough, Jr. of California; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
