Mr. Hooper was born on March 24, 1952 in Dickson, TN. He was a son of the late Lester Greer Hooper and Effie Mae Sullivan Hooper. He retired from TN Attachment after 20 years of service. For over 5 years, he worked for TDOT as a truck driver and equipment operator. Dallas had a great love for horses and trail riding.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Welker Hooper; his siblings, Curtis D. Hooper, Sr., Mary Adcock, and Cecil Hooper; nephews, Nelson McRee Jr., and Casey McRee; and his horse, “Dandy Man.”
Dallas Hooper is survived by his children, Matthew Dallas Hooper (Jennifer), Lucas Hooper (Brandi), and Cynthia Swiegoda (Chris) and her mother, Carolyn Clark Hooper; sisters, Altha McRee, and Libby Hooper; 9 grandchildren, Hayden, Tatum, Evan, Jake, Emma, Brantly, John, Wyatt, and Dalton. Also surviving is his dog, “Roy Rogers,” and numerous nieces and nephews.
