Terri Leigh Lofton Adams

Terri Leigh Lofton Adams, age 65 of Oakland, TN passed away Friday November 8, 2024 at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN with her husband David by her side. Her wishes were to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Donate Life (Heart) or the American Cancer Society.
Terri was born in Nashville, TN and grew up in Memphis, TN with her parents, June and Jim Lofton and her bother Mike. She attended school in Memphis and made life long friends. Terri attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where she met her future husband David K. Adams of Dickson, TN. They married in August 1981 and Terri began her career in teaching and managing phlebotomy departments at hospitals in the various communities wherever her husband’s career with Union Pacific Railroad took them. In 1989 they welcomed their only child Laura Elizabeth to the family while residing in Kansas City, MO.
Together they lived in Missouri, Texas, Wyoming, Arkansas, and Tennessee. She made lifelong friends wherever their moves took them. Terri did all things boldly, especially loving her family. Terri loved spending time in the sun by her pool, blue nail polish, good music, reading, crafting and vacations on the beach with family and friends. Terri never did anything by halves including her long battle with heart health. Sadly cancer took her life. Terri was the strongest and bravest person her family could ever be blessed with.
