Mrs. Ivadell Bratton, age 95 of Dickson, TN died on Saturday, May 3, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, May 9, 2025 at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Dickson, TN. The visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 12, 2025 at the Nashville National Cemetery.
Ivadell O’Neal Bratton was born on June 9, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Thea O’Neal and Althea Cox. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. Ivadell was a devoted caregiver. She loved her bonus families that she helped raise, the Whelans - Fred, Bill, Bob, David and Margaret; and Weiss - Trae and Taylor.
Ivadell is preceded in death by husband John Bratton Sr., grandson Jerome Springer, sister Louise Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, John Bratton Jr. and a devoted daughter in law, Gale Bratton; granddaughters, Joy Griffin (Adrian) of Nashville, Katrina Bell (Deobrah) of Austell, GA, Tearia Bratton of Dickson, Latoya Sawyers of Clarksville, Felicia Deen (Chris) of Nashville; Grandsons, Dwayne Bratton and Andre Bratton of Dickson; sister, Lucille Pollard of Dickson; special nephews, Eugene Pollard (Connie) and Harry Pollard, Jr. of Dickson, Sammie Pollard (Niva) of Byron, GA; nieces, Cassandra Payne, Marilyn Spicer and Lynn Anderson. Also surviving is family friend/cousin, Elaine Horner; bonus daughter, Rena Bratton; and a host of great grandchildren, a great great grandson and a host of other cousins, family and friends.
