Memorial services for Mr. James Wendell Moore, age 72 of Dickson were held Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 2:30 PM at the Dickson First United Methodist Church with Rev. Steven Lee officiating.
Mr. Moore died Thursday January 29, 2015 at his home. A native of Dickson County, he was the son of the late Jesse Orman and Edna Raley Moore and was preceded in death by his son, Michael Fields; grandsons, Jesse Wayne and Seth Aaron Street; brother, Billy Moore; sisters, Joann Sullivan, Norma Jean Tkac and Donna Moore. Wendell retired from TVA where he worked as a Results Analysis and after retiring he worked for S&S Construction. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Dickson First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Burton Moore of Dickson; daughters, Jan Fields of Dickson, Jennifer Street of Dickson, Julie Moore Deardorff of Vanleer, Jessica Moen of Charlotte; brothers, Raley Moore (Johnelle) of Pegram, Bobby Moore of Michigan, Edward Moore (Diane) of Dickson; sister-in-law, Jolene Moore of Dickson; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
