     A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Crievewood United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 451 Hogan Road Nashville, TN 37220. For those that would so desire, donations can be made to St Jude Childrens Hospital or Alive Hospice.
     Vincent Leon Wix, 58, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully January 3, 2024. Vincent was born July 3, 1965 in Lafayette, Tennessee. While growing up he spent time in Indianapolis as well as the Macon County area and graduated from Westmoreland High School in 1984.
     A few months after graduation Vince enlisted in the United States Army. After completing basic training at Fort Moore near Columbus, Georgia he was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky where he stayed for 8 years driving and servicing tanks.
     After being granted an Honorable Discharge by the US Army in 1991, Vince spent the next few years working in and around Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In 1992 he started working at General Mills as a Machine Operator. He would work in various roles until 2007, when he was awarded the opportunity to travel to Germany as a representative of the General Mills company. While in Germany he worked and studied a new production line, Yoplait Yogurt, and he would bring his newfound knowledge back home where he was the point person for implementation of this new line. Vince would stay at General Mills for the next 30 years and in July 2022, he was able to take a well-deserved retirement.
     Vince was loved by everyone that knew him and he was devoted to his family and friends, spending time with them every chance he got. Those that love him will miss him immensely.
     Vince is survived by his husband, David Salter of Nashville, Tennessee, and his beloved Great Dane Amos; his sisters, Frieda Redden and Glenda Etheridge of Lafayette, Tennessee; his brothers: Jeff Sullivan of Westmoreland, Tennessee and Chris Wix, of Lafayette; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     Vince was preceded in death by; his parents James and Vera Wix; sisters, Rhonda Wood and Theresa Hayes, and brother Justin Wix.
