Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 1pm from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Sesler officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 4pm until 8pm and on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 11am until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

James “Slim” Patton Anderson, age 80, of Charlotte, TN, passed away on January 8, 2024.
James was born on August 20, 1943, to the late James John Anderson and Ruby Sensing Anderson. He worked at State Industries (A. O. Smith) and served as an MP in the National Guard. After retiring from A.O. Smith, he ran a logging company and raised tobacco. He was a big fan of Nascar and enjoyed going to the Nashville Predators games with Gregory, Lois and Kelsey. He and Lois were married for 46 years. He loved his granddaughters immensely and above all was a true family man.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; John “Toad” Anderson and Joe “Doodle” Anderson.
He is survived by his wife; Lois Bransford Anderson of Charlotte, TN, his sons; Howard Anderson of Charlotte, TN, Gregory Anderson of Charlotte, TN, his daughter; Donelle Story (Monty) of Charlotte, TN, granddaughters; Taylor Story, Kelsey Story, and Grace Story, all of Charlotte, TN.
