A motorcycle memorial ride will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 9 a.m. in the K Mart parking lot, with kickstands up at 9:30 a.m. Riding to Erin and back to Cumberland Furnace. Kickstands up at 1:00 p.m. from Cumberland Furnace ending at First Baptist Church, Hwy 70 East, Dickson with services beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Ronkeith Askins, who preferred to be called Ron, passed away suddenly April 4, 2015 due to a motorcycle accident in Dickson County. He was born June 16, 1968 in West Covina, CA. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse D. Askins, sister, Kelly Askins Smith, Niece, Heather Smith, Grandparents, Ronkeith E. Belcher and Ruth W. Belcher.
Ron was a loving husband and father who loved building model cars and boats with his beloved sons. He was a truck driver, loved to fish and ride what he called his perfect motorcycle. He will be missed by all who touched his life.
Survivors include his wife; Stacy Askins, his children; Zachary and Logon Askins, Mother; Sherry Askins, Sister; Tammy Bowen and husband Pat, Brother; Shaun Askins and wife Susan, numerous nieces,nephews and extended families in California, Tennessee, Kansas and Missouri.
